Great Bend Fire/EMS

Firefighters made five Emergency Medical Service calls Tuesday. There were no fires.


Barton County Sheriff

An injury crash was reported at 12:01 p.m. Tuesday at Maria’s Mexican Grill, 3212 10th St.

Officers were dispatched to check the 700 block of North U.S. 281 for a possible explosion at 5:33 p.m. It was a tire from a vehicle.


Great Bend Police

A Vera Bradley purse was stolen from Waters True Value Hardware, 1649 K-96, on Sunday, it was reported Tuesday.

A non-injury crash was reported at 2:33 p.m. Tuesday at Dillon’s No. 51, 4107 10th St.

A customer allegedly stole an item and assaulted a cashier at Dollar General, 2400 10th St.

Someone damaged a screen on the residence at 1310 Hoover St.

A motorist in a white truck with blue on the side failed to pay for fuel Tuesday evening at Cerv’s, 1000 Main.
