Great Bend Fire/EMS
Great Bend Emergency Medical Service had four ambulance runs and one mutual aid run to Ellinwood on Wednesday. Great Bend firefighters responded to five fireworks-related reports and flare-up callbacks, with one report of a smell of gas at 41 McKinley Street. Deployment of the gas sniffer produced a negative result. Firefighters also responded to one GBPD assist.

A non-injury crash was reported at 8:49 a.m. at SE 50 Road and SE 160 Ave., Ellinwood.
A non-injury crash was reported at 2:25 p.m. at N U.S. 281 and NW 10 Ave., Hoisington.
A non-injury crash was reported at 6:42 p.m. at 504 Washington St., Great Bend.
