Great Bend Fire/EMS

A structure fire was reported at 7:07 p.m. Saturday at 2404 17th St.

Arcing wires were reported at 8:12 p.m. Sunday at 2712 18th St.

There were four EMS calls Friday, eight Saturday and five Sunday. There was one call that was canceled while the unit was en route Friday and one carbon monoxide check Friday. Saturday’s calls included a false alarm caused by a smoke detector malfunction. Sunday’s calls included a possible gas leak in the 1300 block of Cherry Lane.

EMTs were on standby Friday and Saturday at the rodeo.


Great Bend Police

A vehicle was rear-ended by another vehicle at 12:25 p.m. Friday at Applebee’s, 3209 10th St.

A fraud case was reported at 2536 Forest Ave.

A fake $100 bill was reported Saturday at First Kansas Bank, 4001 10th St.

A hit-and-run crash was reported at 1:49 p.m. Saturday at The Reserves at Trail Ridge, 811 Grant St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:49 p.m. at 2825 Meadowlark Ln.

Police received a call to the 1400 block of 20th Street at 12:05 a.m. Sunday, where a party alleged Patton Mills had choked him. Mills was arrested for aggravated battery domestic violence. He was released after posting a $20,000 surety bond.

A known person allegedly damaged a headlight on a vehicle at 3219 Forest Ave. A notice to appear in municipal court was signed and served.

A hit-and-run crash was reported at 1:07 p.m. Sunday at 2615 17th St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 4 p.m. at 1312 Cherry Pl.

A non-injury crash was reported at 9:53 p.m. Saturday at NE 30 Road and NE K-156.
