Great Bend Fire/EMS

EMS made ten ambulance runs Friday, seven runs Saturday, and five runs Sunday.

There was one false fire alarm at 7:41 p.m. Friday in the 1800 block of Monroe St. The fire truck was called back when the homeowner informed fire department it was an accidental alarm that tripped.


Great Bend Police

A non-injury crash was reported at 24th St. and Washington St. at 9:40 a.m. Friday.

A narcotics violation was reported in the 1700 block of 3rd St. at 11:05 a.m. Friday. 

A non-injury crash was reported at 3810 10th St., at 5:29 p.m. Friday.

A burglary was reported. Items were stolen from the residence at 2310 8th St.

Hoisington Police Department requested an outside agency assist at 367 W. 3rd St. in Hoisington at 11:04 p.m. Friday. During an investigation of a domestic disturbance, the suspect failed to yield. A chase was initiated and assisted by BCSO. Great Bend Police Department responded to road blocks to assist and entered city limits west of staged city limits. Chase proceeded through Great Bend and ended south of town at 11:04 p.m. on Friday.

A traffic arrest was made at 10th St. and Jefferson St. Subject was arrested for driving under the influence and driving on the wrong side of the road at 3:49 a.m. on Saturday.    

A domestic battery was reported at 1400 block of Adams St., at 11:11 a.m. Saturday. A notice to appear was signed and served.

A non-injury crash was reported at 21st St. and Washington St. at 12:47 p.m. Saturday.

Theft of a temporary tag was reported in the 2500 block of Shawnee Dr.

An unknown male reportedly asked a female an inappropriate question and then exposed himself at 7:11 p.m. Saturday in the 3200 block of 24th St.

An outside agency assist was requested at 8:50 p.m. Saturday. Pawnee County and BCSO requested assistance in a high-speed chase originating in Pawnee County. GBPD units responded with an attempt to set spike strips. Vehicle speeds were too fast for successful deployment of strips. The vehicle being chased exited city limits on U.S. 56.

A vehicle hit a parked car at 2 a.m. Sunday at Broadway Ave. and Odell St.

An aggravated domestic battery was reported at 4:27 a.m. Sunday in the 5200 block of 10th St. Police broadcast a “be on the lookout” (BOLO) for a known male suspect.

 

Barton County Sheriff 

An outside agency assist was conducted in the 300 block of W. 3rd St., Hoisington, at 11:04 p.m. Friday.

An outside agency assist was conducted at N. Washington Ave. and Antelope, Great Bend, at 10:57 a.m. Saturday.

A report of traumatic injuries was made in the 4000 block of Main St., Albert, at 7:59 p.m. Saturday.

An outside agency assist was reported at 9:18 p.m. Saturday at 5th Road and NE K-156, Ellsworth County. The K-9 unit was deployed.

A non-injury crash was reported at K-4 and A St., Claflin, at 12:57 a.m. Sunday.
