A vehicle hit a deer at 8 p.m. Monday, about four miles north of K-96 on NW 110 Ave. The driver went another two miles and called back, saying the vehicle was in a ditch and would need a wrecker. Kansas Highway Patrol took the call.
A motorist who rolled a Pontiac Grand Am onto its side on NE 170 Road and Susank Road after avoiding a deer Monday evening called his father, who contacted the sheriff’s office at 8:56 p.m. Hoisington ambulance was dispatched but the driver was not injured and was able to get the car back onto its wheels and moved before a deputy arrived.
A car hit a deer two to three miles east of U.S. 281 on SE 20 Road at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday.
Great Bend Police
A car was rear-ended by another vehicle somewhere on Washington St. at 7:32 a.m. Monday.
William Harden was driving east in the 4100 block of 10th St. in the outside lane, and struck a vehicle driven by Brian Bellendir that was eastbound in the inside lane, at 11:27 a.m. Monday.
A burglary at 2123 Sunset Road was reported Monday. A purse containing identification and $40 cash was taken sometime last week.
The person whose Jeep was stolen (and recovered Saturday in Haysville) reported two fraudulent charges on a credit card that was in the vehicle.
