Great Bend Police

Miscellaneous items were reportedly stolen from a vehicle at 2100 Madison St. over the weekend. Loss was $55.

Vehicles driven by Melanie Schneweis and Jennifer Hernandez collided at 12:15 p.m. Monday at K-96 and Broadway.

Someone broke into a garage at 1715 Park St. and stole tools, it was reported Monday.

Vehicles driven by Renee Little and Kyle Scheuerman collided at 16th and Williams at 12:39 p.m. Monday.

Jerry Marmie was driving south on Baker Ave. turning west onto 10th St. at 3:35 p.m. Monday and struck pedestrian Coletta Mogbo, who refused treatment for minor injuries.

At 7:55 p.m. Monday an individual reported finding two pennies on Morton Street and was advised he could keep them.

Barton County Sheriff

A vehicle hit a deer in the 200 block of K-96 at 4:28 a.m. Monday.

A vehicle went into the ditch at U.S. 281 and NE 30 Road (Bissell’s Point Road), shortly before 5 a.m. Tuesday.

Great Bend Fire Department

Firefighters made one ambulance run on Monday.

There was one false alarm caused by a system malfuction.

Firefighters and a Barton County Sheriff’s Office deputy checked on a report of a large fire in the northwest part of the county at 8:29 p.m. Monday but found nothing. There were large fires in Pawnee and Stafford counties. Albert Fire Department responded.
