Sunday morning traffic stop leads to two drug arrests

Ouray Gray and Charles Manning, both of Great Bend, were arrested Sunday on multiple drug charges following an early morning traffic stop.

According to the Great Bend Police Department, at approximately 1:56 a.m. Sunday, a GBPD officer conducted a traffic stop at 19th and Heizer on a 1996 Chevy Camaro for a traffic violation, during which GBPD canine Menta was deployed and indicated an odor of illegal narcotics coming from the vehicle.

The officer located methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and counterfeit money.  Gray, 33, was arrested for distribution of methamphetamine, distribution of marijuana, possession of counterfeit money, possession of drug paraphernalia, no drug tax stamp and criminal possession of a weapon.  Manning, 37, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both individuals were transported to the Barton County Detention Center and booked in lieu of bond.
