In conjunction with its Feb. 15 home basketball game, the Barton Community College Athletic Department will dedicate the “Pink Out Night” in support of Camp Hope.
In an effort to raise funds for the nearby youth camp, the department is selling commemorative pink T-shirts with all proceeds going directly to the Camp Hope initiative.
Held annually at the college’s Camp Aldrich near Claflin, the camp is offered by KyMel Inc. and provides a traditional summer camp experience for children ages 4-17 that have, or have had, cancer. The mission of Camp Hope is to provide a normal, active and safe camp experience where children can celebrate life with, through, and beyond the diagnosis of cancer.
Supporting the initiative for many years, Barton Athletics requests pre-order of T-shirts by Feb. 1 in preparation of celebrating the fund drive at the Feb. 15 basketball game as the Cougars host Butler Community College that evening.
Cost for the T-shirts are $12 (sizes youth small through adult extra-large), $14 (double extra-large), and $16 (triple extra large). Order form located at BartonSports.com or contact Heather Panning at panningh@bartonccc.edu or 620-792-9377.
