Everyone knows how delicate their skin is, but did you know the skin on your face is the most sensitive of all. Every day it takes on pathogens and bacteria in the air that cause harm and damage if you don't keep up on your skincare routine.

Remember: what you put into your skin will give you the results that you get out of it. So, if you want a flawless complexion that you see so many radiant women have, here are 10 suggestions on keeping your skin glowing:

1. Water, water, water

I honestly can not stress this one enough. The secret to a perfect complexion is to drink nothing but water and I mean just water! Throw out the juices, (unless they don't have added sugars) and keep a bottle of water close at hand.

2. Get your beauty sleep

You need a full eight hours of sleep if you want great skin. If you are taking good care of your skin each day and yet you still tend to break out, you are most likely not getting enough sleep. The more sleep you get, the more improvements you'll see in your skin.

3. No sugar

Sugar is just bad. Period. Yes, your taste buds always enjoy that beautiful moment when a chocolate truffle enters your mouth, but the truth is that it's harming your body in more ways than you can imagine. Stay away from those sweets or you might risk an outbreak of acne in the near future.

4. Stay away from the pack

Im sure you have heard this before, but any type of smoking will increase your skin's tendency to age. Wrinkles will develop sooner then expected and smoking also creates bad aging spots. I could list millions of reasons why smoking is horrible for you, but if you're just aiming for that flawless skin, remember to stay far away from every pack of cigarettes.

5. Freeze yourself

Cold water is a remedy for your skin. Washing your face or taking a shower with cold water allows your pores to open and airs out your skin, which allows it to breathe.

6. Break a Sweat

Sweat is a force that drives any dirts or oils you recieved throughout the dayout of your body. Get your body moving and get a good workout in each day to allow your skin to reap the benefits of sweating.

7. Handle the stress

Overstressing can influence the health of your skin. If you are unorganized and cannot handle multiple things going on in your life, learn to prioritize and give time for yourself. The better you control your stress, the better your skin will behave.

8. Always clean

Take off your makeup every day. Your face traps dirts and other pathogens that were caught in your skin throughout the day in your makeup. So essentially, you're making your skin a breeding ground for pimples and other built-up pores if you don't remove your makeup each night. Your skin needs to have that clean and liberating feeling it gets from a clean face free of makeup.

9. Be gentle

Like I said previously, your skin is delicate. You need to treat your skin tenderly and with care. Be sure to use products on it gently because it will help with keeping it looking fresh and youthful in the long run.

10. Cleanse and moisturize

Cleaning and caring for your face routinely is mandatory for achieving flawless skin. You will want to find the right type of products for your skin type. Get to know your skin and you will come to understand the type products it needs to thrive.

I look at it this way, your skin is like a flower and in order for it to grow, it needs to be nurtured properly. Growth can be difficult, but if you give it the amount of water and minerals it needs, you will see an overall change in your complextion.
