HOTH With the premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi this week, a man in Portland, Oregon, is on a mission to protect us from the dark side.
Hes not just any man in Portland, he is the citys own Keep Portland Weird unofficial mascot, otherwise known as The Unipiper.
This man made a name for himself not just by riding a unicycle, not just by playing the bagpipes while riding a unicycle, but by riding a unicycle while playing a set of bagpipes that is also a flame thrower. Plus he wears costumes. No big deal.
This good fellow is obviously dedicated to his particular brand of entertainment, but with his latest video hes also providing a community service. Well, at least its a community service if you live in the universe where Star Wars takes place. But I digress.
In the video, The Unipiper elegantly demonstrates how to take down the Empires big four-legged machines, otherwise known as AT-AT walkers. The takedown might be a little slow, but its super effective.
The method he uses is similar to the snowspeeder method used on Hoth in The Empire Strikes Back, but the Unipiper definitely uses his own flare. And provides his own soundtrack. And makes his own practical effects. And does his own stunts.
Give this guy his own movie already, or at least watch his entertaining 40-second video.
If you happen to be looking to hire a unique entertainer who will travel, you can book the Unipiper on his website.
