WASHINGTON D.C. When they say "don't tap on the glass," they really mean it, as the man in this video now knows all too well.
The man was on a visit to the International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C. when he happened upon the museum's shark tank. Now as you might expect from a spy museum, this isn't just any old run-of-the-mill shark exhibit. The shark tank is actually part of an exhibit called "Exquisitely Evil: 50 Years of Bond Villains" that explores how fictional evildoers and their plots have changed over time.
In the video, you can see the man approach the shark tank and begin tapping the glass. A sign above the tank says "touch at your own risk," but the man seems unperturbed by that. That is until the shark comes rushing toward him and the glass seems to shatter.
The man is startled enough that he falls back. He ends up on the floor, clutching his chest and looking pretty scared. And I can't blame him at all. Though the whole thing is virtual (no, that's not a real shark swimming toward you), the tank was designed to make you feel like you're living in a Bond villain's reality, and it definitely lives up to that chilling factor.
