Belles Sesame Orange Shrimp - photo by Brenda Stanley
Seafood is one of my favorite dishes. I was born in San Diego, and I love all types of ocean fish and seafood. Shrimp is one of my favorite things to serve now that I live in Idaho because I can buy it frozen and still get a really tasty and satisfying seafood meal.

Shrimp is easy to cook as long as you dont overcook it. This recipe only takes a few minutes to prepare and it tastes like a specialty dish from a nice restaurant.

I love the combination of tangy orange and spicy barbecue sauce. The sesame oil is what makes many Asian dishes really special, and you only need a little to get that wonderful flavor.

I like to serve this dish with a simple side of rice or noodles because the sauce is so delicious; you just have to find a way to use it all. So drizzle away and enjoy this easy and delicious shrimp dish.

Belles Sesame Orange Shrimp

3 tablespoons orange marmalade

3 tablespoons barbecue sauce

1 teaspoon soy sauce

2 tablespoons oil

teaspoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon minced garlic

2 green onions sliced, white and green parts separated

1 pound medium shrimp, deveined with shells and tails off

1 teaspoon sesame seeds

In a small bowl, mix together the marmalade, barbecue sauce and soy sauce. In a frying pan, heat the oil and the sesame oil. Add the garlic and the white part of the green onions and cook until slightly browned. Add the shrimp and cook just until they start to turn pink. Add the sauce and stir to coat. Cook until the sauce is thick and bubbly (about two minutes). Sprinkle with the green part of the onions and the sesame seeds.
