Americans find themselves in the middle of two seasons right now Christmas and presidential campaign season.
Not only are the holiday lights shining bright, but so are the spotlights that beam down on politicians vying for the 2016 presidential nomination.
And, somewhat unsurprisingly, Americans favor one of these things more than the other. Specifically, Americans favor Christmas music to political campaign ads, according to a poll from HuffPost/YouGov. In fact, 81 percent of Americans said they would rather hear some holiday tunes over campaigns ads, whereas just 7 percent prefer the advertisements.
Maybe that's a low bar to clear, The Huffington Post explained. But despite the annual wave of grinching that tends to accompany the start of Christmas music season, most Americans at least kind of enjoy the festivity.
But like political ads, Christmas songs can become repetitive. To help break the mold, here are 12 Christmas songs you didnt know existed to get you in the holiday spirit.
