The original Star Wars debuted in 1977. The most recent film, Rogue One, came out just last December.

But one filmmaker decided to create a trailer for Rogue One as if it were released in 1977, according to Mashable.

Despite the weird uncanny valley performances from some of its digital characters, 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' does a great job of time-traveling back to a time before the first film in the series, Adario Strange wrote for Mashable. So it's only fair that we get to see what the VHS videotape version of the home video might look like if Rogue One had actually been released back in the '70s.

The video comes with grainy picture, cheesy trailer music and a voice narration suited for a 1970s film.
