Theres a new doctor-recommended method to get your child to stop crying.
And it really works.
Earlier this week, Dr. Robert Hamilton, a pediatrician and father of six from Santa Monica, California, unveiled a new method to calm your childs cries, called The Hold.
He folds a baby's arms across its chest, then holds the child with one hand around its chest and one hand under its bottom, gently rocking back and forth, according to CBS.
While it worked for Hamilton, a medical professional, parents wondered if it would work for them, too.
It does, as Impossible Parenting, a Facebook community of mothers, showed in a recent Facebook video, in which one mother uses The Hold to successfully quiet her baby.
Hamilton said if the trick doesnt work, parents may want to check and see if their baby is hungry or not feeling well.
