GORHAM — Anna “Ann” Barbara (Graf) Dreher, 87, died Sept. 5 at the Main Street Manor in Russell. She was born May 13, 1926, on the farm South of Gorham, to Sebastian and Bridget (Hammersmith) Graf.  She married Alex D. Dreher on Nov. 19, 1945, in Hyacinth. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Dreher was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church  and Daughters of Isabella both of Gorham. She served as the Daughters of Isabella Regent for a number of years. She cleaned St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a number of houses and offices in the Russell and Gorham area for over 45 years. She also did ironing and laundry for a number of people, including the altar linens and servers vestments for St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  She was a 2nd grade communion teacher for CCD classes and a Eucharistic Minister for St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was very active in the church and made and donated the noodles for the Daughters of Isabella fundraisers.
She and her husband lived on the Bemis Ranch when they first were married, then lived in Hays and settled in Gorham the rest of their years.  She moved to the Main Street Manor at Russell in 2011.
Survivors include her husband, of Vintage Place-Russell; three sons, Dean Dreher and wife, Agnes, Amarillo, Texas, Dale Dreher and wife, Carolyn, Wichita Falls, Texas, and Val Dreher and wife Melissa, Russell; three daughters, Diane Dinkel and husband, Ron, Victoria, Laura Boxberger and husband Tim, Great Bend, and Wanda Hanzlicek, and husband Todd, Wilson; one brother, Cletus Graf, Woodston; 21 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Don Dreher; one daughter, Cindy Soukup; one great-granddaughter, Shelbie Alvis; one brother, Delphinus Graf; and three infant brothers.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Gorham.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Gorham. A Gorham Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, followed by a vigil service at 7 p.m. Sunday, both at Cline’s Mortuary, 412 Main Street in Victoria.
Visitation is from 5-9 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary, and from 9-10 a.m. Monday at the church. Memorials are suggested to St. Mary’s Cemetery Fund, Gorham, or Harden Hospice of Great Bend. Condolences can be sent via email to clinesmortuary@eaglecom.net.
