LARNED — Anna Belle Owens, 73, died Dec. 23 at Hays Medical Center in Hays. She was born May 17, 1937, in Shattuck, Okla. A resident of Larned since 1970, formerly of Woodward, Okla., she was a retired Food Service Supervisor 1 at the Larned State Hospital.

She was a past member of the Nazarene Church, Woodward, Okla.

On Dec. 12, 1961, she married Fredrick "Buck" Owens at Buffalo, Okla. He survives.

Other survivors include mother, Ruby McKenna, Larned; one son, Terry Kraft, Larned; three daughters, Sherlin Moore, and Anna Binns and husband Daniel, both of Larned, and Karen Bronson and husband Tony, Great Bend; one stepdaughter, Mary Ann Hammans, Woodward, Okla.; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one stepdaughter, Wilma Evans.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, Larned, with Pastor Dennis Scheibmeir presiding. Burial will be in Larned Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at Morell Funeral Home, Larned. Memorials are designated to the American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
