GARDEN CITY – Anna Juno, 93 of Garden City died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2012 at Homestead Health and Rehabilitation Center in Garden City.
She was born Dec. 6, 1918 in Barton County, Kansas near Olmitz the daughter of Albert and Julia (Kittle) Schneider.
Anna grew up near Olmitz and attended Olmitz schools. On August 6, 1940, she married Frank A. Juno in Olmitz. They lived in Olmitz until the 1950s when they moved to LaCrosse. They later moved to Garden City in 1994 and have lived in Garden City since. A homemaker and farm wife, Anna enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and playing the piano and organ. She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church of Garden City.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, JoAnn Juno, Garden City; two grandchildren, Danna Mustard, Garden City; and Gene Juno, Jr., Garden City; and two great grandsons Justin Juno, Tyler, Texas; and Devyn Mustard, Imperial, Calif.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband Frank who died Jan, 16, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Mary Ann Juno; a son, Gene F. Juno; and a sister, Fannie Carter.
A Vigil Service and Rosary is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Garden City. A Funeral Mass is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Garden City with Fr. Cosmas Nwosuh and Fr. Rene Labrador as Celebrants.
Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. Friends may call from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City.
