LARNED — Arlene E. Reece, 87, died March 9, 2012, after a short battle with cancer, at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital in Larned.
She was born Nov. 20, 1924 at Pawnee Rock, the daughter of Frank G. and Carrie Unruh.
A lifetime resident of Pawnee County, she was a retired homemaker. On August 14, 1946, she married Charles Reece Jr. at Pawnee Rock. He died March 3, 1994.
She belonged to United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, Burdett Seniors and Shiley Homemakers all of Burdett.
Survivors include, four sons, Leland and wife Linda, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Lyle and wife Teresa, Rozel; Kevin and wife Marsha, Larned; and Kent and wife Annette, Burdett, a sister, Eldora Schwarz, Halstead; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Unruh.
Funeral Services are scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 12, at United Methodist Church, Burdett, with Pastor Brad McCoy and Pastor Mitch Reece presiding. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Morell Funeral Home, Larned. Burial will be at the Browns Grove Cemetery, Burdett.
