Arlene K. Hett Sittner 1941 - 2011

HUDSON - Arlene K. "Hett" Sittner, 70, died Sunday at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. Born Feb. 27, 1941 at Marion she was the daughter of Homer and Wilma Bowers Hett. She was a graduate of Westmar College and received her master’s degree from KSU. She was a home economics teacher and was the church secretary for Peace Church and Trinity Community Church, both of Hudson. She was an active member of the Peace Church. On July 21, 1972 she married Marvin Sittner at Marion.

He survives. Other survivors include one brother, Warren Hett of Dighton; one sister, Ruth Snodgrass of Santa Barbara, Calif.; one brother-in-law, Larry Sittner of Hudson; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Fesler of Plevna; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 1 at the Peace Church, 492 NE 140th St., Hudson with Pastor Wade Russell presiding. Burial will be at Peace Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday 1-8 p.m. at Minnis Chapel, Stafford with the family receiving friends 6-8 p.m. Memorials may be sent to the Peace Church in care of the chapel.
