CHASE — Avery Kaye Belk, 2, died June 1 in Chase. Born Aug. 1, 2009, in Great Bend, she was the daughter of Jimmy C. and Marsha L. Kozel Belk. She was a lifetime resident of Chase.
Survivors include her parents, Jimmy and Marsha, of the home; a brother, Walon Belk, of the home; grandparents, Jim and Kaye Belk of Ellisville, Miss., and David “Animal” and Jeanie Kozel of Chase; Uncle Jeremy and Becky Kozel of Lyons; Aunt Sammy Girl Kozel of Watonga, Okla.; great-grandmother, Mae Burnside of Great Bend; and great-grandparents Doris and Charles Kozel of Arkansas, Mattie and Bernard Shuff of Laurel, Miss., and Jackie Belk of Lancastor, S.C. She was preceded in death by great-grandfathers Loyd Burnside and Bill Belk.
Funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at the First Baptist Church in Lyons with Pastor Joel Grizzle and William V. Johnson officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Chase Fire Department or the Lyons First Baptist Church in care of Birzer Funeral Home.
