Beatrice "Bea" Bissing 1912 - 2011

WICHITA — Beatrice "Bea" Bissing, 98, entered eternal life on April 20, 2011. She passed away in Denver, Colo., where she has been living since 2001.

She was born Sept. 28, 1912, and grew up on a farm at Bushton.

Bea was preceded by her husband, Al Bissing in 1994; brothers Lawrence and Paul Habiger of Bushton, and a sister, Madelyn VanBuren, of Portland, Ore.

Survivors include a daughter Patricia and her husband Gerald Schnittker of Denver, Colo.; and grandsons James Schnittker of Baltimore, Md., and Kevin Schnittker of Charleston, SC.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, with a rosary at 7 p.m., both at Downing & Lahey Mortuary East, Wichita. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Church, Wichita. Memorials are suggested to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 124 N Roosevelt, Wichita, KS 67208; Georgetown Village Endowment Fund, 1655 Georgetown, Wichita, KS 67218; and Christian Living Community Nursing Care at Clermont Park, 2480 S.
