ELLINWOOD — Bernadine Marie Riemann, 86, died June 11 at Country Place Senior Living, Ellinwood. She was born Sept. 20, 1925, at Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of James Walter and Hulda Dorthia Frede Dreyzehner. She graduated from Ellinwood High School. She married Albert Edwin Riemann on June 28, 1942, at Ellinwood. He died in 1991. An Ellinwood resident, she previously lived in Claflin for many years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Riemann was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Ellinwood; St. Paul’s UCC in Holyrood; and the EHU of Beaver.
Survivors include a daughter, Diane Haines of Ellinwood; a sister, Ruth Grier of Springfield, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Lindstrom of Topeka; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded by a son, A. Edwin Riemann.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 15 at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Ellinwood with the Rev. Katrina Palan officiating. Burial will be at the Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery in Ellinwood. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Thursday at Kimple Funeral Home in Ellinwood. Memorials are suggested to Immanuel United Church of Christ; Ellinwood Heritage Club; or to the Barton County Humane Society.
