Bernice A. Nightengale 1940—2011
WICHITA — Bernice Anne Nightengale, 70, died Saturday, April 2, at Galichia Heart Hospital, Wichita.
She was born June 2, 1940, at Quenemo, Kansas, the daughter of Orlin Walter and Iva Isabelle (Wadkins) Brown.
She married Earl Edward Nightengale August 13, 1962, at Quenemo. He died December 17, 2004. She worked for the Barton County sheriff’s office as a records clerk and Fuller Brush in the customer service department. Mrs. Nightengale was a Wichita resident since 2004, moving from Great Bend.
Survivors include two daughters, Shona Johnson, Wichita; Lynda Miller, Wichita; a brother, John Brown, Russell; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service is scheduled at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 8, at the Bryant Funeral Home with officiant The Reverend John Grummon. Interment will be Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend, with Pastor Rodney Ducroq as officiant. Visitation is scheduled  from noon to service time, Friday, April 8, at the Bryant Funeral Home.
