Betty L. Rajewski 1935-2012

GREAT BEND — Betty L. Rajewski, 76, died Jan. 21 at her home in Great Bend. Born Feb. 16, 1935 in Hays, she was the daughter of Joseph and Julia (Gottschalk) Kronewitter. On Feb. 4, 1956 she married Marvin H. Rajewski in Schoenchen. A Great Bend resident since 1959, coming from Hays, she was a clerk at Dollar Tree and had been a cashier in the Barton Community College Cafeteria. She was also owner of Arrow Supply.
Mrs. Rajewski was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Altar Society, Daughters of Isabella, past president and life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin H. Rajewski, of the home; a son, Mike Rajewski and his wife Penny of Lake Charles, La.; two daughters, Connie Kerr and her husband David of Flower Mound, Texas and Bonnie McPherson and her husband Jerry of Tyler, Texas; a brother, Jim Kronewitter and his wife Pat of Hays; three sisters, Jane Kisner and her husband Steve of Victoria, Ruth Zimmerman and her husband Roy and Carol Legleiter, both of Hays; a brother-in-law, Linus Werth of Victoria; eight grandchildren, Marsha Greenway and her husband Marty, Christopher Rajewski, Cassandra Kerr, Ashley Kerr, Katie Kerr, Matthew Burgardt and his wife Jessica, Melissa Burgardt, and Michael Burgardt; two step-grandchildren, Cody McPherson and Abby McPherson; and three great-grandchildren, Nicole Kegler, Quincy Corbin, and Ashton Burgardt. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Tony Legleiter; and a sister, Bernice Werth.
Altar Society Rosary will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Bryant Funeral Home. A vigil service with Daughters of Isabella Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Don Bedore officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday at St. Boniface Cemetery in Vincent. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Hospice Care of Kansas of CKMC Foundation for the benefit of the Heartland Cancer Center, in care of the funeral home.
