Beverly Louise Kolb, 80, of Great Bend, died Dec. 18 at Great Bend Regional Hospital. Born Feb. 22, 1930, in Ottawa, she was the daughter of Leo Clarence and Frances Louise Doty Howard. A former resident of Pawnee Rock, moving to Great Bend in 2008, she was a telephone operator for the South Western Bell and Larned State Hospital. On June 12, 1949, she married E. Dean Kraisinger in Lawrence. On Sept. 28, 1978, she married Sandy Kolb at Great Bend. He passed away Oct. 18, 2005.
Mrs. Kolb was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
Survivors include three sons, Anthony D. Kraisinger of Pawnee Rock, Bruce A. Kraisinger and wife Kristi of Salina, and Mark D. Kraisinger of rural Pawnee Rock; two daughters, Terry Lyn Mandle and husband Kim of Lecompton, and Diana K. Yetschke of Great Bend; three stepsons, Jim Kolb and wife LaDean of Larned, Jan Kolb and wife Jean of Las Vegas, Nev., and Jon Kolb and wife Beth, Dallas, Texas; a sister, Barbara Woods of New York, N.Y.; 17 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; two stepsons, Scott Kolb and Kiah Kolb; and two brothers, Gordon Howard and Roger Howard.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel in Larned with Pastor Dale Stanley presiding. Burial will be at the Larned Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Mortuary. Memorials may be sent to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in care of the funeral home.
