Billie Marie Friend - Johnson – Mauler 1936 to 2019

OCIE, Mo.  — Billie was born on June 25, 1936, in Ocie, MO. The daughter of Ted and Stella (Wray) Friend. She left to be with the Lord on February 5, 2019. She married Gene Johnson on August 11, 1956. Gene preceded her in death in October 1978. She later married Bernard Mauler on July 20, 1985 and they moved to Otis, KS. They lived there for 25 years before moving back to Missouri in 2010.

She was a very Godly woman who lived her whole life to go to Heaven, and she got her wish. She loved reading her bible every day. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and singing. She sang at 10 to 15 of the local churches. She wrote gospel songs and even had her own CD of them. She wrote a short story that got published in a book. She loved her cat named, “Kitty”. She was a member of the Y Church. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Bernard Mauler, her sons Larry & Janet Johnson, David & Michele Johnson of Gainesville, MO, step-son Michael Mauler of Great Bend, KS; step-daughters Susan & Fred Grimes of Auburn, Ca., Sandra & Jeff Kuhn of California. Her wonderful grand-children, Hesston Johnson, Misti & Mason Eslinger, Laramie & Brianna Johnson, Zachary & Kari Johnson, Danielle & Reid Murphy, Michael Mauler II, Trenton Mauler, Hannah Grimes, Matthew Grimes and Tyler Grimes. Her beautiful great-grandchildren Payton & Tate Eslinger, Landon Johnson, Kayleigh & Wyatt Johnson, Addilyn & Raiden Murphy, Michael Mauler III, Jaxson Mauler.  She is also survived by her loving sister Ima Jo Boarman and Robert of Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ted and Stella Friend and her husband Gene Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO with Jimmy Kyle officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from noon to service time. Burial will be in the Pontiac Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pontiac Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
