BROWNWOOD, Texas — On Sept. 26 at 12:56 p.m., Bryan S. Lange was serenaded by angels from Hendricks Hospital in Abilene, Texas, to his heavenly home at the age of 35. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at First Baptist Church, Junction, Texas. Bryan’s uncle Dennis Heinold will share officiate duties with Steven Royall, youth pastor of First Baptist Church.
He was born Oct. 31, 1974, in Victoria Texas. After a shooting accident when he was 6, Bryan was left physically handicapped but he never let that stop him from achieving his goals. After graduating from Stroman High School in Victoria, Texas, Bryan went on to graduate from the University of Houston, Victoria Campus, with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He lived in Junction, Texas, for a brief time and then moved to Brownwood to be with his mother, Sandra Wapelhorst.
He was full of life and, in spite of his many complications and illnesses, he didn’t complain. He loved to fish, hunt and spend time with his favorite dog, Stacey. No matter what was going on, Bryan always had a smile to share. Even though he never understood his purpose in this world, he knew in his heart that God had a plan and he accepted it. Bryan was a great inspiration for those that knew him and was loved by everyone.
Surviving Bryan are his parents, Sandy and Frank Wapelhorst of Brownwood, Texas, and Rob and Diane Glomb of Victoria, Texas; two brothers, Mickey Lange and Cody Glomb, both of Victoria, Texas; grandparents, Kennith and Lorena Williams of Junction, Texas, Dorothy Glomb of Shiner, Texas and Dan and Joyce Wapelhorst of Great Bend, Kan.; and aunts and uncles, Eva and Bret Melton of Hutto, Texas, Cyndi and Larry Martin, LaNett and Buck Wilcox, all of Junction, Texas. He also leaves behind a multitude of cousins and dear friends.
Bryan’s wishes were to be cremated. Any donations will be used to pay for the services since he had no insurance. Donations can be sent to the First Baptist Church, 202 S. 8th Street, Junction, TX 76849, for Bryan Lange.
