Byron F. “Buddy” Stonebraker

Byron F. “Buddy” Stonebraker, 82, passed away Sunday May 24, 2020, at Brookdale Senior Living in Great Bend. He was born June 4, 1937, to Byron C. and Dorothy A. (Cookson) Stonebraker. He married Rebecca Hannan on Dec. 27, 1958, in El Dorado.

Buddy was a resident of Great Bend since 1965, coming from Pratt. He worked for Fuller Brush for 24 years. He enjoyed collecting coins, stamps, woodworking, hiking in Colorado and spending time with family.

Survivors include his wife Rebecca of the home; son David (Deb) Stonebraker of Shawnee; daughter Cathryn (Mel) Stos of Washington, Utah; brother David (Nancy) Stonebraker of Ellsworth; sister Patti Welch of Wichita; grandchildren Megan (Joe) Roop and Kristen (David) McAdams; great grandchildren Cathryn and Beatrice Dailey and Fynn Roop.

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and will be announced by the family. Memorials are suggested to the Great Bend Library, in care of Bryant Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
