Carol Ann Manry    1943 - 2011
GREAT BEND — Carol Ann Manry, 67, died June 2 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Oct. 20, 1943 in Wichita.
On July 23, 1966, she married Laroy Manry in Chase. A resident of Great Bend since 1962, coming from Chase, she was a registered nurse for Dr. William T. King for 26 years. Carol also served as assistant director of nursing at Hammond Nursing Home in Larned, and director of nursing at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. Later, she served as a registered nurse for Medstaff, Great Bend Internists, and retired from the Convent Infirmary, all of Great Bend.
Mrs. Manry was a member of the Faith Community Church and the Dominican Nursing Association. She served as a board member of Golden Belt Humane Society and was a Barton County 4-H dog leader.
Survivors include her husband, Laroy Manry, of the home; a son, Robert Manry and wife Jenny, Larned; a daughter, Christi Manry, Great Bend; a sister, Rae Ellen Hanken, Courtland; a brother, Jim Campbell, Hutchinson; and three grandchildren, Audrey Manry, Sarah Manry and Cassie Manry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo “Pete” and Anna Feldman Campbell.
Funeral services are scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 7 at Faith Community Church in Great Bend with Pastor Sandy Kennedy. Burial will be at the Great Bend Cemetery North. Friends may sign the register book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
