CANTON — Cathy S. Morgan, 71, of Canton, died October 17, 2018 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, Wichita. She was a registered nurse.

She was born January 7, 1947 in Dodge City, the daughter of Frank and 

Suzanne (Wright) Wolf. She married Richard Strobel in June of 1968 in Jetmore and he preceded her in death on October 10, 1989. She later married Carl Morgan on April 29, 1995 in Great Bend and he preceded her in death on September 18, 2010.

She had been a Canton resident for 23 years, moving from Pawnee Rock. Cathy was a member of the RiverPoint Church, Newton, Canton Senior Center, McPherson County Food Bank, FCE Dizzy Dames EHU and was a former member of the Canton City Council.

Survivors include a son, Keith Strobel (Cindy Goering), McPherson; a daughter, Amy (Scott) McCrary, Rogers, Arkansas; step-sons, Danny (Tracy) Morgan, Canton and Brian (Lacey) Morgan, McPherson; step-daughters, Brenda (Mike) Kruse, Wichita and Becky (Matt) Ryan, Canton; brother, Don (Patty) Wolf, Pawnee Rock; sisters, Jan Putzier, Paola, Sister Joan Wolf, Great Bend, Liana (Leonard) Tasset, DeSoto, Texas and Connie Ryan, Manhattan; sister-in-law, Deanna Wolf, Temple, Texas; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Christopher and Curtis Strobel and two brothers, Bobby and Larry Wolf.

Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2018 at Dyck Arboretum, Hesston. Memorials have been established with the McPherson County Food Bank or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, in care of Olson’s Mortuary, Canton.
