Charlcie May Ogle, 103, died May 26 at Great Bend Regional Hospital. Born April 11, 1910 in Harris Township in Fullton County, Ill., she was the daughter of Thomas E. and Nellie E. (Simpson) Paul. On April 6, 1929. she married Edwin Charles Ogle in Watseka, Ill. He died on Nov. 8, 1969. A Great Bend resident since 1988, she was a clergywoman and pastored in Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Washington, Indiana and Texas. She was also Dean of Women at Gulf Coast Bible College, Houston, Texas.
Mrs. Ogle was a member of the Missionary Society of the Church of God, Silver and Gold Club, Business and Professional Women, and the High Rise Kitchen Band.
Survivors include two sons, the Reverend Richard E. “Dick” Ogle and his wife Jan, of Hoisington, and Ronald E. Ogle and his wife Evelyn, of Hutchinson; 22 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, David P. Ogle; one brother, Frank Paul; and two sisters, Mable Campbell and Becky Lamb.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Bryant Funeral Home with the Rev. Dick Ogle, the Rev. Byron Fultz and the Rev. James Fox officiating. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Hutchinson. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., on Thursday at Bryant Funeral Home.
