STAFFORD — Charles Alan Osborn, 88, died July 3, 2012, in Stafford.
He was born April 29, 1924, in Stafford County to Charles and Edith (Baker) Osborn. On Feb. 21, 1965, he and Janey Partin were married.
He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1943-1945. He fought in the European Theater.
Alan worked for years in the oil field. He was retired from Zenith Co-op and Stafford schools. He loved woodworking, gardening and fixing up anything for his family.
He is survived by his wife, of the home; his children, Susie Weaver (Craig), Maysville, Ky.; Brenda Staub (Kim), Olsburg; Eddy Osborn (Lori), Macksville; and Virginia Hearn (Dale), Stafford; his grandchildren, Amber Vierthaler, Lynsi Hoyt, Kayla Schuster, Tandy Smedberg, Rachael Weber, Ashley Hearn, Shannon Stark, Casey Osborn, Brent Staub, Brett Staub, and Alesia Hearn. He was “Fuddydud” to 12 great-grandchildren.
Preceeding him in death were his daughter, Alana Jo; his parents, and his siblings, including four brothers and one sister.
A casual memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 6 at Minnis Chapel, Stafford.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Stafford County Hospital, in care of Minnis Chapel, Stafford.
