Christian Wesley Hale “Bean” born 8:05 a.m. Dec. 18  died at 12:15 p.m. on Dec. 18. He was the infant son of Montara Johansen and Clinton Hale. Bean’s story began at 19 weeks when medical complications were discovered while he was still in utero. Against the odds this little fighter survived to 34 weeks and was delivered at Children’s Mercy in Kansas City, Mo. He lived for a few hours after his birth. Although Bean only survived a few hours after being born, he touched thousands of lives all over the world with his story. He taught us lessons of faith, love, hope, belief and so much more. Bean was and will always be a true blessing and a true miracle to many.  Although his life is over his journey will live on and continue to help others through his page on Facebook.
Survived by his parents Montara and Clinton, Lawrence;  grandparents, Chris and Kary Johansen, Ellinwood; Mike and Laura Hale, Shawnee; Aunt Kathye Phelps, Ellinwood; Aunt Aubrey Booser, New York, N.Y. And thousands of supporters world wide. A memorial service will be held at First Southern Baptist Church in Great Bend Jan. 4, 2014 at noon with Pastor Doyle Smith officiating. A memorial fund has been set up at Community Bank in Ellinwood called the Team Bean Memorial.
