Clark L. Moore

It is with great sadness that the family of Clark L. Moore, 70, of Great Bend, Kan., announces his passing on Saturday Aug. 15, 2020 at Via Cristi hospital after a long battle with cancer. He was a retired, self-employed electrician, and owner of Dynamo Electric in the Great Bend and surounding areas. 

Clark was born Oct. 4, 1949 in Great Bend to parents Lester E. and Fern (Lewis) Moore. Growing up in Albert, he was a lifetime resident of Barton County. He was one of 11 siblings. He graduated from Pawnee Rock H.S. in 1967 and served in the Army National Guard from 1968 to 1974. Clark loved to hunt and fish with his brothers and nephews. He loved his Labrador Retriever, Barkley. Clark dedicated himself to serving people, and was always there to offer help to those in need. 

Clark married Suzanne (Malone) Moore in 1969 in Macksville. They lived in Pawnee Rock and in Great Bend. They had one daughter, Rebecca (Becky). Clark loved being a grandpa to Colton, Crissann, and Coen. He was also proud of and enjoyed his many neices and nephews and his

great neices and nephews. 

Survivors include wife Suzanne of the home; daughter Rebecca Moore (Ryan Coke) and grandchildren Colton and CrissAnn Coke and Coen Moore-Coke, Leavenworth; sister’s Vera (Sandy) Schmidt, Pawnee Rock, Linda (Brian) Brack, Otis, Wilda Daubert, Wichita; brothers include John (Priscilla) Moore, McPherson, Jim (Jayne) Moore, Burnett, Texas, Charles (Janice) Moore, Otis; brothers-in-law Don Schlegel, Otis, Charlie (Mary) Malone, Great Bend; sisters-in-law Darlene Moore, Hoisington, Linda (Charlie) Befort, Larned, and Charlotte (David) Martin, Loveland, Colo.; Aunt Joann Lewis, Burdett. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister’s Shirla Kirmer, Carol DeVault, Donna Schlegel; and brother, Leonard Moore.

The family wishes memorial contributions be made in his name to The Vasculitis Foundation (vasculitisfoundation.org) so we may learn more about Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis or to The American Cancer Society.
