Connie Rosalie Peacock, 91, died July 11 at Woodhaven Care Center, Ellinwood.  Born Feb. 21, 1923 at WaKeeney, she was the daughter of Pete and Antonia (Solowski) Gregorcyk.
On August 3, 1941, she married Thomas Claude Peacock, Jr. at WaKeeney.  He died Dec. 14, 1995. She operated Connie’s Yarn Center, where she sold specialty yarns and knitting machines, taught classes and met with a group of local machine knitters at her home until 1997. Connie was a Great Bend resident since 1945 coming from WaKeeney.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Pilot Club, 40-year member of Bissell’s Point Home Demonstration Unit, IOOF, and was a Sunday School Teacher and Girl Scout Troop Leader, all of Great Bend.
Survivors include two sons: Robert Peacock of Midway, Utah; and Sheldon Peacock and his wife Kristie of Great Bend; one daughter, Claudia Bibber of Lansdown, Penn.; one sister, Helen Worrall of Holton; daughter-in-law, Cathy Peacock of Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren: Jasen Peacock, Cabot Peacock, Angelia Peacock, Amy Peacock, and  Shelly Bullard; and five great grandchildren: Jorden Peacock, Kendra Peacock, Breann Peacock, Reese Bullard, and Keldon Bullard.  She was preceded in death by son, David Peacock, and sister, Josephine Peacock.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 15 at 10 a.m. at Bryant Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Scott V. Solether officiating.  Interment will be at Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend.  Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m., Monday, July 14 at Bryant Funeral Home.  Memorials are suggested to the Great Bend Pilot Club, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.  Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net
