Daniel Zink, 60, passed away on April 23rd, 2022 in Ellinwood, Kan. Born in Hutchinson, Kan. on May 7th, 1961 he was the son of Donald V. and Beverly J. (Lichter) Zink. Dan graduated from Claflin HS in 1979 later receiving his Associates Degree from Barton County Community College. He married Melanie Bieberle at St. Joseph Catholic Church on September 21st, 1985. Dan worked for Sunflower Electric for over 20 years before retiring in 2020. 

Survivors include wife, Melanie Zink, Ellinwood; son, Kyle (Miranda) Zink, Great Bend; daughters, Stacy (Kyler) Clawson, Lindsey (Jonathan) Andrasek, Great Bend; brother, Mark Zink, Salina; sisters, Susan (Craig) Goodell, Lindsborg, Janet (Kent) Klug, Overland Park, Joni (Don) Haines, Great Bend; beloved grandchildren, Cooper, Cameron, Brynlee, Madalynn, Mikayla and one on the way. Dan was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Beverly Zink. 

Mass of Christian burial will take place 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 28th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ellinwood, followed by interment at Holy Name Cemetery, Bushton. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 27th at Minnis Chapel, Ellinwood, from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. with parish Rosary/Vigil at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church that evening. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Joseph School, Children’s Mercy (Kansas City), or Ellinwood Hospital Foundation in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 246, Ellinwood, KS 67526.
