Darlene Gorney, 60, passed away June 6, 2024, at her home in Great Bend, Kan. She was born Dec. 30, 1963, in Larned, Kan., to David and Corrine (Stevens) Cooper.

Darlene, a longtime resident of Great Bend, was a CNA, dedicating many years to taking care of family and friends. She was a Christian who was known to have a free spirit and enjoyed Coca-Cola and strawberry collectibles.

Survivors include her daughters, Shaneil Gorney and husband Brandon Ballinger of Great Bend, and Shanade Gorney and husband Kieran Jordan of Alamosa, Colo.,; son, Dalton Nokleby (Gorney) of Manhattan; grandchild, Kian Jordan; two sisters, Frances Wonser of Hutchinson, and Debra Cain of Great Bend; and large extended family.

Funeral service will be at noon on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Pastor Troy Miller presiding. Interment will follow at Larned Cemetery, Larned, Kan. Memorials have been designated to the Darlene Gorney Expense Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.
