LARNED — Darlene Zetta Fox, 81, passed away July 10 at Cherry Village Nursing Home in Great Bend. Born May 2, 1931, in Great Bend, she was the daughter of Gilbert Martin and Lena Margaret Bortz Johnson. On Oct. 28, 1950, she married Leo Joseph Fox at Larned. He died Jan. 2, 2001. A lifetime area resident, she was a homemaker and a sales representative for Stanley Home Products.
Mrs. Fox was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, both of Larned.
Survivors include a son, Justin Fox of Larned; two daughters, Sharon Fox East of Great Bend and Debora Fox-Johnson of Larned; three sisters, Mildred Booker of Amarillo, Texas, Dorras Barnes of Fort Mojave, Ariz., and Treva Smith of Larned; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Elton Johnson.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Larned with Father Warren Stecklein presiding. Burial will be at the Larned Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church or the Golden Belt Home Health & Hospice, both in care of the funeral home.
