Darrell “Shorty” Kershner, 80, passed away Oct. 19, 2020, at Woodhaven Care Center, Ellinwood. He was born on July 30, 1940, at LaCrosse, to Eldred and Leona (King) Kershner. 

A lifetime Great Bend resident, Darrell was a service manager for the chevy dealership. He was a member of Faith Community Church. He enjoyed watching tv, especially Nascar races, NFL, and PRCA rodeos.  

Survivors include, a son, Brad Kershner and wife Kim of Great Bend; a daughter, Kimberly Kershner of Chandler, Ariz.; a brother, Donald Kershner and wife Betty of Eads, Colo.; two grandchildren, Tara Kershner, and Kaylee Chavez and husband Pedro; and two great grandchildren, Tirerstyn Kershner, and Kaylyn Kershner. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Richard Kershner; and sister, Janet Rivera. 

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place and services will be announced at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
