WICHITA — Debbie Huslig, 59, died Sept. 26 at Via Christi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita. Born Dec. 10, 1952 in Pratt, she was the daughter of Bernard Louis and Donna Joan “Jo” (Rose) Huslig. A resident of Wichita since 1997, coming from Great Bend, she was a baby sitter, seamstress, beauty operator and aerobics instructor. She was a devoted and loving grandmother.
Survivors include two sons, Toby Julian and his wife Leah of Sterling, Neb. and Shannon Julian and his wife Joey of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Lacey Smith and her husband Jake of Wichita; two brothers, David Huslig and his wife Carol of Grand Junction, Colo. and Tony Huslig of Great Bend; four sisters, Diana Parks and her husband David of Oberlin, Mary Folkerts and her husband Randy of Pawnee Rock, Shelly Forster and her husband Tom of Kimberling City, Mo., and Tami Dykes and her husband Matt of Great Bend; and seven grandchildren, Derek, Matthew, Parker, Reese, Alannah, Ezekiel, and Ivy. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie Huslig and Donald Huslig.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the First Assembly of God in Great Bend with Pastor Dwight Dozier and Pastor David Huslig officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Debbie Huslig Expense Fund in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
