Deborah Sue “Deb” Ballard, 50, passed away June 8, 2016 at her daughter’s home. Born March 1, 1966, she was the daughter of Charles and Sue (Smith) Ballard in Great Bend.
She attended Great Bend High School and later received her GED diploma. Deb was a caregiver in many different capacities. She was of Christian faith.
Deb married Steve Brungardt on Nov. 26, 1988 in Great Bend. They later divorced. She married Renee Perry on March 1, 2015 in Topeka, she survives. Deb enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
Other survivors include two daughters; Ashton (Christina) Brungardt, Alexis Brungardt (Adam Temple), and one son Braylon Ballard, all of Topeka; two sisters; Jamie (Kevin) Miller, Brenda Ramey and fiancé Kevin Woods, all of Great Bend, three brothers; Brad (Dana) Ballard of Kingston, Wash., Doug Clark (Kathy Wapelhorst) of Great Bend, Chris Seyfert (Chelsea Ruckman) of Weeping Water, Neb., her mother Sue and stepfather Art Jaske of Great Bend, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Devin Brungardt and her father Charles Ballard.
A Memorial Service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, June 16, 2016. Private interment will be at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday June 15, 2016 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Deb and her daughter Devin.
