September 28, 1949-July 30, 2019 — Deborah Sue (Williams) Norwood was born in Great Bend, Kan. on Sept. 28, 1949. She was the daughter of Delbert and Virginia (Keenan) Williams. Debbie grew up in Great Bend with her twin sister, Dianna and younger sister, Marsha. 

Debbie graduated from Fort Hays State University with her bachelor's degree in art education. She married David Lake of Great Bend and they had two children together; Aaron Lake and Lindsay (Sutton) Lake.

Debbie had a tremendous talent in art. She spent most of her career teaching art. She began teaching at Roosevelt and Harrison Junior High in Great Bend, then moved to Abilene where she spent 12 years teaching art classes at the high school. 

Debbie married Michael Norwood of Salina, Kan. and they have lived in Nevada for the last 15 years. 

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Delbert and Virginia Williams. She leaves behind her husband Mike; son Aaron Lake (wife-Tracy); daughter Lindsay Sutton (husband-Bill); and three grandchildren (Eli, Joey and Annie); and two step-granddaughters (Alayna and Alexa). She also leaves behind her sisters, Dianna Welliver and Marsha Tinkum.
