GREAT BEND — Dee Hapes, 73, died Aug. 15, 2012 at her home in Great Bend.
Born Sept. 20, 1938 in Hutchinson, she was the daughter of Finis and Mildred (Hoefer) Woolery. A lifetime resident of Great Bend, she was the deli manager at Ampride and owner and operator of Mode O’Day.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Hapes and his wife Kelly and Bob Hapes, both of Great Bend; three sisters, Wanda Dannebohm and her husband Donnie, Ellinwood; Trudy Helsel, Goddard; Doris Harms and her husband John, Wichita; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Don Woolery; and one sister, Linda Schrag.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Fairlawn Burial Park in Hutchinson. Friends may visit from 10 a.m. to noon, with family present, on Saturday at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Hospice Care of Kansas in care of the funeral home.
