Dianne Cope, 72, died Oct. 29, 2015, at her home in Great Bend. Born Dec. 15, 1942, in Lambert, Miss., she was the daughter of Tommie A. and Frances (Brown) Goodnight. On May 28, 1961, she married Marvin Donald Cope in Great Bend. She was the office manager at Heartland Dermatology and was a seamstress.
Mrs. Cope was a member of the First Christian Church and active in Job’s Daughters.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin Donald Cope, of the home; two sons, Tom Cope of Great Bend, and Gerry Cope and his wife Durell of Olathe; one daughter, Tonya Cope of Great Bend; one sister, Alice (Brown) Lieber and her husband Ken of Allen Park, Mich.; four grandchildren, Landon Hubbard, Breanna Hubbard, Charli Cope and Pyper Cope; two sisters-in-law, Geraldine Cope and Allene Owen, both of Great Bend; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Bryant Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Schumacher and Father Ultan Murphy officiating. Burial will be at the Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery in Ellinwood. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to St. Rose Health Center Endowment Fund for Golden Belt Home Health and Hospice or Heartland Cancer Patient Care and Support Endowment Fund, in care of the funeral home.
