GREAT BEND – Doreen Viola Boor, 66, died May 31, 2012, at her home in Great Bend. She was born Sept. 11, 1945, at Quinter, the daughter of Titus and Mary Matilda (Herzog) Kuntz. She married Lawrence “Larry” Boor May 5, 1966, at Great Bend. A bookkeeper for Johnson Electric and Alfalfa Pellets and having worked for Ellinwood Packing for 23 years, she was a Great Bend resident since 1963, coming from Grainfield.
She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Altar Society and was a PSR teacher.  
Survivors include her husband of the home; a son, Glenn Boor and his wife Cortney, Lee’s Summit, Mo.; three daughters, Cheryl Flack and her husband Dr. Eric, Lee’s Summit, Mo.; Diana Wildman and her husband Darrin, Abilene; and Sarah McTighe and her husband Mike, Gilbert, Ariz.; five sisters, Caroline VonFeldt and her husband Richard, Council Grove; Sister Nancy Jane Kuntz, Wichita; Shirley Pundsack and her husband Don, Great Bend; Roma Lea Michel and her husband George, Westminster, Colo.; and Maxine Sherman and her husband Don, Great Bend; and 10 grandchildren, Garrett Flack, Devan Haberman, Courtney Boor, Gavin Boor, Collin Boor, Madison Wildman, Emma Wildman, Noah Wildman, Rylee McTighe and Ryken McTighe.
Altar Society Rosary will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 3, at Bryant Funeral Home. Vigil Service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 3, also at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 4, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Great Bend with the Rev. Reginald A. Urban officiating. Interment will be at Great Bend Cemetery North. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday, June 3, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Prince of Peace PSR or American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.
