OTIS — Doris Jean Tuzicka, 84, died Sept. 7, at home in rural Otis. She was born Jan. 24, 1929, at rural Otis, the daughter of William and Lillian (Johnson) Suchy. She married Clarence Tuzicka Jan. 10, 1951, at La Crosse.
Mrs. Tuzicka was an active farm wife, living her entire life on the family farm.
Survivors include her husband Clarence Tuzicka, of the home; two daughters, Diana Hertel and husband Gary of Great Bend, and Linda Wagner and husband Myron of Otis; four grandchildren, Matt Hertel, Darin Hertel, Cory Wagner and Jason Wagner; and two great-grandchildren, Logan Wagner and Jaylie Wagner. She was preceded in death by an infant stillborn boy and by one sister, Dolores Vsetecka.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Olmitz. There will also be a memorial funeral service at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with Father Ultan Murphy officiating. Interment will be at Hoisington Cemetery in Hoisington. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Kans for  Kids in care of the funeral home.
