BELPRE —Florence M. "Sis" Gales, 88, died Jan. 25, 2012. She was born Sept. 29, 1923 at Hugoton, the daughter of Ernest Dorr and Fannie Mae (Johnson) Frazee. She was a life-long resident of Belpre, a homemaker, Edwards Co. Healthy Start Visitor, St. Joseph Hospital worker, and an Avon representative. Her memberships include St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Altar Society, KEENAGERS, and the Cancer Support Group.

On June 21, 1941, she married Vincent M. "Tuffy" Gales at Belpre. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include five sons, Larry Gales (Kathy), Burlington, Lenny Gales (Donna), Great Bend, Kelvin Gales, Kansas City, Mo., Randy Gales, Lyndon, Jon Sward, Emporia; four daughters, Beth Seba, Belle Plaine, Joyce Korf, Salina, Phyllis Rodgers (Dale), Gridley, Janel Martin (Roland), Belpre; two brothers, Keith Frazee, Glendale, Ariz., Don Frazee, Houston, Texas; three sisters, Twila Jackson, Augusta, Ga., Wilma Lilibridge, Syracuse, Lareta Miller, West Covina, Calif.; 23 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Janet K. and Connie J. Gales, two brothers, Johnson and Milton Frazee, and a sister, Dorene Shaffer.

Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 30 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Belpre, with Father Warren Stecklein, celebrant. Burial will follow in the Belpre Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 1-6 p.m. at Minnis Chapel, Macksville. Vigil service will be 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Belpre. Memorials to "Camp Hope" in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS 67576.
