Frances Victoria Fox, 95, died Dec.18 at Great Bend Regional Hospital. She was born Feb. 10, 1917 at Great Bend, the daughter of Charles Franklin and Nannie Silvey (Wilson) Younkin.
She married Wilson C. Fox on Dec. 31, 1939 at Great Bend. He died Sept. 3, 1987.
She was a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone for thirty years. Mrs. Fox was a lifetime Great Bend and was a member of First United Methodist Church, Church Chancel Choir, United Methodist Women, Sweet Adelines, Telephone Pioneers, and the Kansas Writers Association.
She is survived by two sons, Philip Fox and wife Paula of Fort Worth, Texas, and Michael Fox and wife Debbie of Arvada, Colo.; two daughters, Judi Fox of Great Bend and Vickie Rondeau and husband David of Olathe; one sister, Patricia Ida Mae Baxter of Great Bend; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, George Younkin, Dwight Younkin, Wayne Younkin and Merrill Younkin.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22 at the First United Methodist Church in Great Bend with The Reverend Lennie Maxwell officiating.
Interment will be at the Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation is 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 21 at Bryant Funeral Home.
