LARNED — Frank M. Lemuz, 61, died Jan. 3 at Hays Medical Center. Born Feb. 8, 1951, in Larned, he was the son of Cirilo and Josefa Marquez Lemuz. A lifetime area resident he was a retired LMHT from the Larned State Hospital.
Mr. Lemuz was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the American Legion, both of Larned.
Survivors include two sons, Jason of Larned and Adrian of Great Bend; two daughters, Theresa Lemuz of Larned and Melanie Lemuz of Northglenn, Colo.; six brothers, Lawrence of Topeka, Tony, Jesse,  Isaac and Steven, all of Larned, and Robert of Rozel; five sisters, Ramona Palleschi of Winthrop, Maine, and Angela Rayla, Mary Del Hierro, Louise Pierce and Helen Asher, all of Great Bend; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Andres, Luis and Luciano Lemuz.
Vigil will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel in Larned. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Larned with Father John Strasser presiding. Burial will be at the Larned Cemetery, Larned. Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
